We went into the bar area and asked to be seated immediately. It truly reminded me of the old casino boat days and due to the cigarette smoke we almost simply left despite our reservation. Upon reaching the 3rd floor the persons outside the restaurant had apparently been smoking like chimnies.
My wife was not in the mood to linger in the casino due to the smoke and I can’t blame her.Īnyway, Binions is upstairs on the 3rd floor when you walk in. It was pleasantly much larger and the smoking while prevalent was moderately tolerable for me. Things have definitely changed a lot since I had last been to the horseshoe casino in Hammond, IN. much smoke and poor ventilation that it looked like a rain cloud was hovering over the gaming area. I can recall going to the casino boats when they first opened. While I like to gamble, the smoking and old casino boat setting kept me away. This was my first visit to the horseshoe casino in Hammond in over 15 years.
