Roger and Ophelia were very helpful and thoughtful. We liked the walk home up the hill even if it is a little strenuous. The house is in easy walking distance of the main street and we walked there each time we went. We enjoyed morning coffees on the deck and nighttime cocktails there as well, looking out over the mountains and down to the town. We were located in the bottom of the house -room #5 and #6 are there-and next time I will request an upper-level room. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Although the house has an unusual configuration with lots of twists and turns, there is plenty of communal space and it is nicely decorated. We enjoyed two nights at the Gold Strike Inn.
